Advice and Consultation
Support our work by offering insights into community needs, trauma-informed practices, and culturally competent approaches.

Translation and Cultural Competence
We’re especially keen to hear from people with proficiency in ESEA languages or those with knowledge of intra-community cultures and dynamics across East and Southeast Asia.

Organisational Infrastructure Development
Help us grow sustainably by supporting internal processes, strategy development, and operations as we strengthen our capacity to serve our communities.

Social Media Strategy and Content
Contribute to raising awareness and building community through creative, thoughtful social media strategy and content development.

Skills and Experience We’d Be Interested To Learn More About:

  • UK CIC Governance and Organisational Development
    Experience supporting governance, policy, and compliance within a Community Interest Company structure.

  • Human Resources and Finance
    Experience in organisational finance, payroll, HR processes, or supporting small teams in the third sector.

  • Website development and design to help us build a more accessible, engaging, and informative online presence. Your support will directly strengthen our advocacy and outreach for East and Southeast Asian communities across Scotland.

  • Social Media Content Creation
    Especially relating to UK policies and social justice issues affecting migrant and racialised communities.

  • Policy Advocacy in Labour Rights and Justice
    With a focus on migrant workers, anti-exploitation efforts, and improving conditions for vulnerable groups.

ESA Scotland is seeking committed and values-aligned individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Community-led Organisation centering East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) communities in Scotland, our work focuses on addressing systemic inequalities through care, creativity, and cultural advocacy.
We are particularly keen to hear from those with lived experience as part of marginalised ESEA communities, and from individuals who bring professional or voluntary experience in any of the following areas:
  • UK CIC Governance and Organisational Development
    Experience supporting governance, policy, and compliance within a Community Interest Company structure.

  • Human Resources and Finance
    Experience in organisational finance, payroll, HR processes, or supporting small teams in the third sector.

  • Grantmaking and Fundraising
    Including experience with writing grant applications, securing funding, or working with philanthropic and statutory funders.

  • Policy Advocacy in Labour Rights and Justice
    With a focus on migrant workers, anti-exploitation efforts, and improving conditions for vulnerable groups.

Our board members play a crucial role in shaping our strategic direction, ensuring good governance, and supporting our small operational team with insight, accountability, and solidarity.
